The Silver Mêl Coin Necklace

This pendant is a re-worked replica of an ancient Greek coin. It has been individually carved from wax, re-designed by hand, and carefully cast into solid sterling silver.
 
The pendant has all of the scratches and details that the original ancient coin had, as well as all of the little quirks that come from working with melted wax.
Each silver ripple you can see on the pendant is a brush mark that only your pendant has.
 
This ancient process of 'lost wax casting' is a slower and more organic way of jewellery making.
 
Your necklace has not been churned out by a machine, but instead it has been designed, created and polished by hand, one piece at a time.
 
Patience does pay off.
